    Dailey reunited with Gill

1:23 p.m.: Two former Nebraska quarterbacks are staying together now that Joe Dailey has followed Turner Gill from Buffalo to Kansas.

Dailey recently was added to Gill's staff after Gill filled the Jayhawks' full-time positions. Dailey, 26, is listed as an on-campus recruiting coordinator, according to a KU spokesman.

Dailey played at Nebraska in 2003 and '04 -- the latter season as the Huskers' starter -- before transferring to North Carolina. Gill had recruited Dailey out of Jersey City, N.J., and was his position coach as a freshman.

At Buffalo, Dailey was a graduate assistant for Gill in 2008 and the Bulls' tight ends coach in 2009.

Upon elevating Dailey to a full-time position last spring, Gill told The World-Herald that he thought Dailey would "skyrocket pretty quickly" in the profession.

"He has a persona about him, carries himself very well and has a great rapport with our student-athletes and a great rapport with our coaching staff," Gill said.
