    Dillard added to Senior Bowl

3:50 p.m.: Former Nebraska linebacker Phillip Dillard was a late addition to the Senior Bowl rosters and today joined former NU safety Larry Asante with the North squad.

Most players arrived Saturday or Sunday in Mobile, Ala. It allowed for them to undergo physicals, receive their equipment and meet with their coaching staffs before practice started today.

The 61st Senior Bowl is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. CST, and includes all-week coverage by the NFL Network.

Dillard completed his Husker career by making 83 tackles as a senior, trailing only defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. The 6-foot-1, 240-pounder from Tulsa, Okla., also had three sacks, intercepted a pass and forced a fumble.

While Suh is projected by many to be the No. 1 pick overall, Asante and Dillard currently would be considered mid-round picks with the chance to use the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine to improve their draft status.
