It's almost the end of January, moms. How the heck did that happen?
You know what that means, though, right?
We're that much closer to the end of winter!
And that rocks.

-- "Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion" opens today at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland, Neb.
The exhibit presents 40 full-scale machines that were built after study of da Vinci's designs by scientists and craftsmen in Florence, Italy. Many of the mechanisms are life-sized and fully operational.
Visitors can touch and set them in motion, combining hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine. Exhibits include such visionary inventions as the helicopter, glider, armored tank, drive transmission, printing press and bicycle.
General admission applies, plus an exhibit fee of $5 per person. The show will run through May 9.
-- Work hard and play harder in the "Construction Zone," the newest traveling exhibit at the Omaha Children's Museum.
The construction site gives kids opportunities to dig, design and build. Parents can help, too.
Hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today.
Admission is $7 for adults and children over the age of 2. $6 for seniors over 60, and free for members and children under 2.
