12:08 a.m. Nebraska is safe and sound in San Diego, where temperatures were in the 50s on Christmas night and snow was nowhere to be found.
The Huskers landed around 7:20 p.m. PST. They went to a team dinner before checking in at the hotel.
Sleep will be a little sparse at first. NU head coach Bo Pelini has team meetings scheduled for 6 a.m. on Saturday and practice at 9:30, followed by a trip to SeaWorld.
"Bowl games are always a little bit of hustle and bustle,'' Nebraska center Jacob Hickman said.
Christmas Day apparently was a little tricky for the Huskers in Lincoln. Not only did some players scramble to reach the Osborne Complex for lifting at 10:30 a.m., Hickman said strength and conditioning coach James Dobson was even running behind because of trouble navigating the snow.
"I was worried about the snow and getting to practice,'' NU defensive back Eric Hagg said. "I have a little car.''
Now the rest of the Huskers' travel party and fans will be trying to get to San Diego. As they arrive, it looks like temperatures in the 60s and a mix of sun and clouds the next few days.
Arizona, by the way, arrived in San Diego on Wednesday - a day earlier than planned - and attended the Poinsettia Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium.
