My newest baby is momaha.com.
I know, I know. I just had a baby! A beautiful little girl born in May, who is, holy cow, 6 months old already.
But this new World-Herald Web site was born fast. Gestation period: about three months. And, yes, I'll take that sort of swift baby-growing any day.
Momaha.com — pronounced just like you, moms: mom-aha — is a social networking site for local moms. It launches Tuesday.
We're way excited.
It will have all sorts of information for moms. Go to the site Tuesday, look around, get to know our newest addition.
Sign up to connect with one another in our forums. Pose a question, answer one. Connect with one another for play groups or a moms' night out.
Need advice? Ask our pediatrician or day care provider.
Need a suggestion for dinner or treats for your son to take to Cub Scouts? Check out our recipes.
You'll also find a calendar of family-friendly events, reviews of restaurants with kids in mind and what's good at the box office for young people each week.
Find kids' crafts and other activity ideas, too.
Perhaps my favorite part is our Mom Team. These 10 moms will blog to entertain and inform. (Dads, we've got a Dad Team to blog, too!)
I'll be your guide at the site, writing about issues important to moms, pointing out items of interest in the news or just talking about what's going on. In addition to baby-girl Paige, my husband and I are the parents of Rye, who is 4 and my favorite boy of all time.
So Omaha moms, make this site your own. Interact with us. Interact with one another. Help us raise this baby right.
