WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

An Omaha teen involved in a police shootling last Friday will be charged with attempted second-degree murder after his release from the hospital.

Cameron O. Williams, 15, is accused of firing a gun twice at Omaha Police Officer Josiah Warren following a traffic stop. Warren returned fire, shooting Williams in the chest, according to police accounts.

Williams remains in the Nebraska Medical Center, where he was last listed in serious condition.

At the time of the traffic stop, Williams, a student at Bellevue West, was on probation in Sarpy County because of several marijuana offenses.

In addition to attempted second-degree murder, he faces several other charges in adult court, including use of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of ecstasy.
