    NU vs. KSU: Five things

    FIVE THINGS WE LEARNED

    1

The NU defenders have a knack for making plays when needed. This time it was Larry Asante's hit that forced a fumble and changed the game.

    2

Alex Henery's ability to pin opponents deep inside their own territory isn't all about luck. He does it too often.

    3

Nebraska's kickoff coverage unit keeps quietly impacting games in a good way. Sound execution helped corral one of the nation's best returners Saturday.

    4

The Huskers have bought into this ultraconservative, power-football approach. More fullback, less shotgun. And it's working, for now.

    5

Coach Bo Pelini finally has tangible proof that he is building something at Nebraska. The program took an obvious step forward.

FIVE THINGS WE STILL DON'T KNOW

    1

Can Roy Helu continue executing at this high level, or is he due for another funk? He's the key to the offense's success.

    2

How focused will the team be this week preparing for Colorado, knowing that a matchup with BCS implications awaits in two weeks?

    3

What's Cody Green's role? His athleticism would seem to be advantageous, but playing him might upset the balance.

    4

When will teams start respecting the big-play ability of Niles Paul? He was far too open on that 47-yard catch.

    5

Is this offense potent enough to penetrate a statistically dominant Texas defense? The Huskers have to score points to have a chance.
