BROKEN BOW - An Alma man missing since Wednesday has been found in southwest Custer County.
Dee Goracke, 87, was found Friday morning in the southwest corner of the county, about half a mile west of the Highway 47 junction, just west of Callaway and south of Arnold.
Henderson said Goracke's car was stuck on a township road and he had spent at least one night, Thursday, in his car. The sheriff's office received a call about 8:20 a.m. that Goracke had been found. The Arnold Rescue Unit was dispatched to the scene.
Henderson said Goracke appeared fine, but was transported to the Callaway District Hospital for a check-up.
Officials in Harlan, Phelps and Buffalo Counties had been searching for Goracke since he left the Elm Creek School Wednesday afternoon. He was on his way home to Alma, but never arrived, according to a law enforcement report.
