Salvaged from local landmarks, businesses and homes, Omaha architectural salvage will be on display and available for sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gift shop at Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St. Historic pieces, ranging in price from $15 to $13,000, are from places that include the Stockyards, Jobbers Canyon and Ak-Sar-Ben.

Among the featured items are: punched-tin ceiling tiles with an egg, dart and wreath motif and a detailed 5-foot-tall punched, solid copper corbel, both from Jobbers Canyon; glass globe metal light fixtures, marked W.O.W., from the original Woodmen of the World Building; an Ak knight on horseback plaster decorative ornament; cast-iron railings and balusters from structures throughout Omaha; and cast terra-cotta pieces from the Wickham Building in Council Bluffs.

Does Omaha’s Joslyn Castle have spirits in residence? The metro-area Paranormal Society has studied the castle for possible paranormal activity, and it will present its findings at 7 p.m. on both dates.

The 45-minute presentations and question-and-answer sessions will be held in the Joslyn Castle carriage house, 3902 Davenport St. Tours of the castle will follow the presentations. Cost: $7.

The Bellevue Garden Club Gingerbread Tea and Boutique will feature 20 crafters and artists at Richmont Village, 702 Fort Crook Road South. Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission: $1. The club will use proceeds for Bellevue beautification projects.
