A gunman forced several Fed-Ex Kinko's employees into a back room during a robbery early today at the 7110 Dodge St. business.
No one was injured.
Police said it was unusual for a business like Kinko's to be robbed, but the store's time of operation probably made it a target.
“You do see a trend of 24-hour businesses getting robbed,” said Officer Jacob Bettin, a police spokesman. “They have to have money on hand to serve their customers.”
Police said a gunman entered the store about 12:15 a.m. today and forced several employees into a back room and took an undetermined amount of money.
The robber was described as being about 5-foot-6, 150 pounds and wearing a red hooded sweat shirt and black cap with red ski mask.
Police ask that anyone with information about those robberies contact the major crimes unit, 444-5657; Crime Stoppers, 444-STOP (7867); text OPD to 274637 (CRIMES); or submit a tip at www.Omaha CrimeStoppers.net. A tip could lead to a reward of up to $1,000. — Jason Kuiper
