The Concordia University men’s basketball team picked up an impressive 75-71 victory over No. 1 Robert Morris on Saturday.
The Bulldogs improved to 3-2; the Eagles dropped to 1-3.
Robert Morris held a 39-38 lead at halftime, but Concordia rallied in the second half.
The Eagles connected on 26 of 68 from the field on the night for 38.2 percent and made just 6 of 21 from the 3-point line and 13 of 21 from the free throw line.
Concordia hit 25 of 62 shots for 40.3 percent. The Bulldogs were 4 of 13 from behind the 3-point line and 21 of 30 at the charity stripe.
Concordia’s Sam Huebner led the way with a double-double of 20 points and 11 boards. Dustin Weber added 18 points, five rebounds and a game-high three assists for the Bulldogs. Evan Kucera also chipped in with 12 points off the bench for Concordia.
Robert Eppinger had 21 points and 11 rebounds for Robert Morris. Robert Jones added 19 points, and Ricardo Laing delivered 17 points for the Eagles.
Concordia returns to action Thursday when it hosts the Cattle Classic Tournament in Seward.
