Nineteen Nebraska world language teachers have received the state’s 11th annual STAR Awards for their dedication to students, outreach to the community and continual efforts for improvement.
The awards were presented at the Nebraska International Languages Association Fall Conference awards luncheon, held recently at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The four STAR areas — Study, Travel, Achievement and Recognition — represent continued professional development, efforts to learn outside the classroom, striving to excel and showing leadership in organizations.
These world language teachers were recognized by the Nebraska Department of Education and the Nebraska International Languages Association:
