COUNCIL BLUFFS — Authorities were looking for three robbers who assaulted a man during a home-invasion robbery Friday on the northeast edge of Council Bluffs.
The robbers, who carried guns, are considered dangerous because of their willingness to use violence, said Sgt. Christopher Weber of the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office. The victims appeared to have been selected randomly, Weber said.
An ambulance was called to the house at 18742 Hanover Lane, but the man did not require hospitalization.
A man and woman were inside the house when the robbery occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday. A gun was fired during the robbery, he said, but no one was shot. Weber declined to say what was taken from the home, but a 911 dispatch report said a shotgun was stolen.
The robbers were described as being in their 20s and wearing black hoodies with white hockey masks. They entered the house through an open door, the sergeant said.
