Sexual assault trial begins

KEARNEY, Neb. — Two girls are expected to testify against their alleged attacker in a sexual assault trial.

Kenneth Fleming, 25, of Kearney is accused of two counts of first-degree sexual assault of the girls between June 2008 and November 2008. He has denied the allegations.

Jury selection began Monday in Buffalo County District Court.

According to court records, a former Kearney woman reported that her daughter said she had been touched “in her naughty place.” She later said Fleming had sex with her.

In March, that girl and a second girl described in detail having intercourse with Fleming.

Fleming was arrested March 6. He has been held in the Buffalo County Detention Center since then.
