    Nebraska adds WR recruit

Filed by Jon Nyatawa at 5:20 p.m.

Quincy Enunwa, of Moreno Valley, Calif., announced his college decision today, giving Nebraska another wide receiver for its 2010 recruiting class.

Enunwa, a 6-foot-2 wide out from the same high school that produced NU linebacker Eric Martin, made an oral commitment to the Huskers, according to his coach, Pete Duffy.

He's the 11th known member of Nebraska's 2010 class and the second receiver. Curtis Carter, from Stonewall, La., made a non-binding pledge to the NU program late last week.

But the Huskers may not have been interested in Enunwa if not for his recent improvement, according to Duffy. Ever since the spring, Enunwa has been emerging as a talented pass catcher, Duffy said.

“It's just kind of been a two-year process for him, as sophomore and junior, figuring out what to do and how to do it,” Duffy said. “But he's come into his own.”

Playing for Rancho Verde High School's spread offense, Enunwa has spent most of the season in the slot, even though he could play at any spot, Duffy said.
