• Highlights: Iowa State at Nebraska
FIRST QUARTER
• Roy Helu: Nebraska comes out with two tight ends and a fullback, but Helu fumbles on the first play after a 3-yard gain. Kennard Banks recovers on the NU 39.
• Grant Mahoney: Iowa State doesn't make much progress but jumps ahead 3-0 as Mahoney kicks a career-best 52-yard field goal.
• Alex Henery: The Huskers move some before stalling on their second series, which is followed by Henery sticking a 36-yard punt at the ISU 2.
• Dontrayevous Robinson: With NU set up by good field position, the freshman scores his first touchdown on his fourth career carry. Robinson goes over the right side for a 3-yard run and a 7-3 lead with 3:26 left.
• Ndamukong Suh: The NU defensive tackle drops Iowa State quarterback Jerome Tiller for a 6-yard sack.
SECOND QUARTER
• David Sims: The Cyclones turn back a Husker scoring chance as a pass goes through four sets of hands before Sims intercepts at the ISU 1. The safety tacks on a 16-yard return.
• Mike Brandtner: Iowa State easily executes a fake punt as Brandtner takes the snap and runs up the left side for 20 yards on fourth-and-5.
• Tiller: Immediately after the fake, Tiller rolls right and throws a 47-yard touchdown pass to Jake Williams with 6:53 to go. ISU leads 9-7 after Suh blocks the extra point.
• Niles Paul: What looks like a possible 73-yard touchdown play is foiled by Paul fumbling just inside the Iowa State 15. Paul gets it back and loses it again, and James Smith recovers for the Cyclones in the end zone with 3:31 left.
• Barry Turner: Nebraska has a chance to get the ball inside the ISU 30 when Turner sacks Tiller and Jared Crick falls on the football. But Crick can't control it, and Kelechi Osemele gets it back for the Cyclones.
THIRD QUARTER
• Zac Lee: The NU quarterback completes 3 of 4 passes to get the Huskers on the move, including a 15-yarder to Paul that creates a red-zone opportunity.
• Helu: A 12-yard carry by Helu ends with a fumble (ruled so after a replay) and Nebraska has turned it over inside the 5 again. It's the second lost fumble for the junior.
• Robinson: This time it's Robinson coughing it up. He bulls his way to the 5 on a 13-yard carry before getting stripped, and Smith recovers again for ISU.
• Jeremiah Schwartz: With Iowa State needing to dig itself out of a hole, Schwartz carries four times for 19 yards and two first downs. The Cyclones reach midfield before punting with 32 seconds left.
FOURTH QUARTER
• Menelik Holt: The parade of turnovers continues as Holt takes a 10-yard pass and fumbles. The recovery by Sims is accompanied by a personal foul on the Cyclones, who will start on the NU 37.
• Suh: Iowa State is trying to pad its 9-7 lead but Suh blocks a field-goal attempt by Mahoney. Sean Fisher runs the loose ball back 34 yards to the Cyclones' 35.
• Tiller: After a Husker punt, Tiller has an 11-yard scramble and four completions to get Iowa State out of trouble and punting near midfield.
• Michael O'Connell: Lee zips a pass to Curenski Gilleylen that the receiver can't handle, and O'Connell makes the interception. Iowa State takes over at its 48 with 2:51 to go.
• Jesse Smith: The Cyclones' eighth and final takeaway comes as Smith intercepts a Lee pass intended for Wes Cammack with 1:31 to go.
