KEARNEY - A Kearney man angered at his neighbors has admitted threatening them with a handgun.
Frederick Beezley, 65, pleaded guilty last week in Buffalo County District Court to two counts of attempted terroristic threats, both misdemeanors, for pointing a handgun at a Kearney couple inside their apartment complex June 3. Beezley became angry because his upstairs neighbors were being too loud. He also was outraged because the couple's dog urinated on his head the previous night as he sat on his balcony below.
When police searched Beezley's home they found a .22-caliber revolver. Beezley was taken into custody without incident.
In exchange for his pleas to the misdemeanors, a third charge of felony terroristic threats was dismissed.
Judge Bill Wright set sentencing for November. Beezley faces up to one year in jail on each charge and a fine. He is free on bond.
