    Five things

    Five things we learned

    1. The Huskers' main receivers have better hands than they showed in the first game, when they dropped several passes.

    2. After not controlling the clock vs. Florida Atlantic, the Huskers did better with it against Arkansas State at 31:38.

    3. Nebraska can generate some pass rush, getting four sacks against a team that threw it just 20 times.

    4. NU quarterback Zac Lee can take a hit, judging by his ability to get up from a first-quarter shot and finish a scoring drive.

    5. Senior safety Larry Asante has the ability to uphold the big hitter reputation he brought to NU.

Five things we still don't know

    1. Can NU avoid beating itself? The penalty numbers were down but no less costly, including a holding call that negated a long touchdown.

    2. Are the Blackshirts prone to giving up the big play? The defense needs to weed out some mistakes that helped the Red Wolves produce 18 plays of 8 or more yards.

    3. The Huskers still haven't proved themselves efficient in short-yardage situations, particularly when running the ball.

    4. Is the defense capable of consistently causing turnovers? Only one forced Saturday after three last weekend.

    5. Is a team with just a half-dozen senior starters ready to play on the road against a Top 25 team?
