    DECISION TIME I

Arkansas State had fourth-and-11 at the Nebraska 33-yard line on its first possession. With a trailing wind, the Red Wolves punted and, of course, the ball bounced into the end zone. You’re an underdog, Coach Roberts. Try a field goal or go for it.

    DECISION TIME II

This time, Arkansas State went for broke. On fourth-and-1 in the second quarter from the NU 23, Corey Leonard rolled right and found Jahbari McLennan for a 21-yard gain, setting up the Wolves’ only touchdown.

    WHAT WAS THAT?

When Zac Lee and Curenski Gilleylen connected on a deep ball on the first drive, hundreds of fans in the north stadium let go of their prized red balloons. Problem was, Gilleylen went down at the 3-yard line. Patience, people.

    RAVE REVIEW

Prince Amukamara has quietly played two solid games at cornerback. The junior from Arizona possesses all the athleticism to be a shut-down corner.

    NOTICED

Blitzes from the secondary. Bo Pelini rushed cornerbacks three or four times and came with nickel back Eric Hagg, too. Expect more of that at Virginia Tech to pressure Tyrod Taylor.
