An 84-year-old rural Dixon, Neb., man died after he apparently ran a stop sign Monday and was struck by a southbound semi-tractor and trailer.
Clifford Templeman was westbound on a county road and ran a stop sign when he was struck by a southbound truck, according to a news release from the Dixon County sheriff’s office.
Templeman was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.
The truck, whose name was not released, was not injured. The accident occurred at about 1:50 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 879 Road and 577 Avenue.
The Nebraska State Patrol assisted with the investigation.
