LINCOLN — Three University of Nebraska-Lincoln students are preparing to travel overseas to study after receiving prestigious Gilman Scholarships.
Jacob Colling of Tecumseh, Neb., is a political science major and Russian/Slavic languages and literature minor. He will study at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Paul Francis of Wilber, Neb., is an international business major and Spanish languages and literature minor. He will study at the Technologico de Monterrey in Queretaro, Mexico.
Brooke Glaser of Lincoln is a film and new media major. She will study at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand.
Recipients are required to complete a follow-up project once they return. The scholarships provide up to $5,000 for students to pursue overseas study.
