LINCOLN — Nebraska redshirt freshman Tim Marlowe was ticketed for minor consumption after police broke up a loud party late Friday night at a north Lincoln residence.

Police spokeswoman Katie Flood said officers arrived at 7244 Dorchester Court around 11:45 p.m. Friday and spoke to Marlowe, who told police that he was watching the house and that none of the partiers lived there.

Police said they detected an odor of alcohol on Marlowe, cited the 20-year-old for minor consumption and transported him to a detoxification center. No other citations were issued.

Marlowe, of Youngstown, Ohio, redshirted last fall, though the 5-foot-10, 170-pound speedster is expected to contribute as a receiver and a kick returner this season.
