Saddle Creek signs Old Canes

Saddle Creek Records is adding to its roster again.

The local indie label will release “Feral Harmonic” from Kansas folk rock band Old Canes on October 20, 2009.

The Canes lineup is fronted by Chris Crisci of Appleseed Cast, another Lawrence indie group. Crisci performs with a rotating cast of musicians including Jordan Geiger (Minus Story), Tyler French, John Anderson (Boy's Life / White Whale) , Kelly Hangauer (Save The Whales) and Kelsey Richardson.

Saddle Creek will also release a new album from label regular Orenda Fink, “Ask the Night,” on Oct. 6.
