A 3-year-old boy who was pistol-whipped during a domestic disturbance last week may be out of the hospital.
Sunday evening, Nebraska Medical Center officials had no active record for the boy, who was hospitalized Friday with a head injury and a cut under an eye.
Omaha police arrested two people on suspicion of domestic assault in the case: the boy's father, 21-year-old Derico Hebron, and his girlfriend, 26-year-old Le Mesha Wright. Hebron was also arrested on suspicion of destruction of property.
Officers were called to an apartment at 5307 N. 110th Plaza to investigate a domestic disturbance, where they found the injured boy. The boy's mother was not at the apartment.
