MIAMI — Nebraska graduate Jordan Larson scored eight points, all on kills, in Team USA’s 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20 loss to Puerto Rico in the bronze-medal match of the Pan American Cup.
Earlier in the tournament, the Americans defeated Puerto Rico in four sets on the final day of pool play to win Pool A with a 5-0 record.
Aurea Cruz led all scorers with 27 points for Puerto Rico, including 23 kills and four blocks. Danielle Scott-Arruda led the U.S. with 14 points via 10 kills and four blocks. Former Husker Nancy Metcalf contributed 13 points on 10 kills and three blocks.
