Child porn viewed at library?

Police suspect an Omaha man on suspicion of using a computer at the downtown Omaha library Tuesday to view an Internet picture of a naked 6-year-old girl.

Detectives from the Omaha Police Department Child Victim Sexual Assault Unit arrested him that afternoon on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

A retired Omaha police officer working as a library security guard spotted the man, 54, looking at the picture on a computer on the second floor of the W. Dale Clark Library and called authorities, said Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman.

The man remained in the Douglas County Correctional Center on Thursday evening.
