A motorcyclist was flown to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition after colliding with a deer Sunday evening on U.S. Highway 75 north of Omaha, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The motorcyclist's identity was not released but he did have an Iowa driver's license, said Lt. Scott Lane of the Douglas County Sheriff's office.
The crash occurred about 7 p.m. near North 48th Street.
The injured deer was later shot and killed by Sheriff's deputies.
