At age 14, identical twins Amber and Kadie Rolfzen have become the youngest players ever to commit to play volleyball at Nebraska.
The 6-foot-2 twins, who will be freshmen in the fall at Papillion-La Vista South High School, orally committed Wednesday night to coach John Cook and the Huskers. The sisters, who can't officially sign letters of intent until their senior year of high school, are believed to be the youngest to commit to the Huskers in any sport.
The Rolfzens, who will turn 15 in August, have been playing the past two years for the Premier club volleyball team. The first year they'll be able to compete at NU will be 2013.
